    Answer:

    The shipper is the supplier who will send the goods from origin while the consignee is the owner of the goods; who will receive the goods at the destination.

    Answer:

    These are the airport agencies that handle cargo at the airport before it is released to the consignee.

    NAHCO/FAAN charges are third party charges to a freight forwarder.

    Shipping Line and terminal charges are service charges levied by the shipping company and the terminal company for services rendered on cargo at the port of destination before arriving at the consignees destination.   • 05.What Is Form M?

    Answer:

    Form M is a required contractual document to be completed by all importers for the importation of goods into Nigeria.

    The Life cycle of Form M is 180 days (for general merchandise) and 365 days(for Plant and Machinery). It is issued by the Designated Dealer which is called an Authorized Dealer Bank(ADB). Any further extension shall be authorized by the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN)

  • 06.Why Does My Cargo Require SONCAP, NAFDAC, DPR Or NERC E.T.C Permits?

    Answer:

    Any cargo entering Nigeria is supervised by one entity or another ranging from goods, electronics, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, power generation equipment etc. Before embarking on the shipping of their cargo, the consignee must obtain permission from the relevant agencies or authority.

  • 07.When Will I Receive My Shipment?

    Answer:

    This depends on the kind of shipment and the destination. In general a shipment via ocean freight will take more time than a shipment via road transport or air freight.

    Transit time is dependent on where the shipment is coming from. You will be provided with daily updates as regards the movement of your shipment and you will be notified once your shipment has arrived.
